In class, i thought the video that we watched was very eye opening it made me aware of the struggles kids go through noadays with all the bullying and things as such. The activity about the emoji made me understand that in any bullying case, there is always something I can do about it. The video brings to mind back in middle school when I used to get made fun of and it just brings back old memories.

Online, I hope that I am seen as a very classy person. I never post anything inappropriate because I know it can come back to bite me. I think people perceive me like I would like to be perceived because I don't out anything online that I would not want people to see.  The goal of internet trolls is to put people down and bring down there self esteem by ridiculing them based on there appearance online, which is none of there business. Positive result of online anonymity is that no one will get physically hurt but negative effects would be that people's feeling are getting.

  1. WE watch a cartoon get bully online because he didn't fit in with the cool kid so the cool kid choose to go online and try to cyber bullying because he was home and they couldn't house just to make them self feel better.
  2. I feel that people only bully because they know that life won't be anything so why not do the same with someone else.
  3. Online i appear to be a person who unknow because i really don't speak social media.
  4. I think people see me as kid who don't speak that much or not that so much fun.
  5. The goal of internet troll is stop them and make friends.
  6. The positive is that they aren't beating them or physically hurt the person and the negative is that  they still hurt the person without caring.                                                                                                                                             Link to the Picture https://www.flickr.com/photos/keithallison/5493678758

1. The video is also a activity. It plays through the boys day, in the boys day he is bullied both physically and by cyber bullies. In the video/activity you can watch it through and see how his day goes, by being bullied or you could click a purple eye that comes on the screen to make that moment of his day better.

2. It's a perfect representation of how bullying can affect someone. He was in pain and crying throughout the video and bullying need to be stopped.

3. I don't really use social media, so I appear as another random person on the internet.

4. People can't perceive who I am because I am unknown on the internet, the only things that comes up is a Facebook account that I don't use.

5. A internet trolls goal is to ruin people's life if they are on the internet, it's like in bad neighborhoods, you will get stared at because its not you area and in their eyes they think they own the internet.

6. A positive result of online anonymity is that people can't find out personal information about you, and a negative result is whatever people find when they look you up, they'll believe it's you.

  1. Today in class we watched the "I Am A Witness" video about bullying and how to help prevent by clicking the eye.
  2. The video bring many things to my mind, for example, how bad people's feelings get hurt and how bullying can mostly be worse on the internet, especially when the bully is anonymous.
  3. When my name is searched online many school websites are found. Especially my middle school awards I have received for my science fair. So, online I am a student, which is correct.
  4. Based on who I am online, people probably see me as hardworking and scientific.
  5. The goal that internet trolls have are to bully someone online without getting caught. They are most likely to be anonymous, giving them more of a purpose to have fun and torture someone without being found. They mainly expose people and mess with their feelings for their own pleasure.
  6. A positive thing about anonymity is you do not know who they are which makes things less hurtful, in a way because, if you find out who this online bully is, your feelings will be crushed and you'll have a hard time actually believing that person would do such a thing. A negative thing about anonymity is it will be harder to report them because they have a hidden identity online.

Who am I online

1. The video that we watched in class was about a boy who was being bullied in school and cyber bullied at home. In this video we had to click the Eye (I am a witness) to help the boy.

2. Bullying should be stopped because if it isn’t it only gets worse.

3. When I search my name nothing comes up.

4. Nothing comes up.

5. Their goal is to bother people and hurt their feelings because they think it’s funny.

6. Positive results are that you can say whatever you want. Negative is that you think you can get away with it, and that you can’t be tracked but you can.

  1. In class, we watched a video about a boy who was being bullied at school and then cyber bullied when he got home. Whenever he was about to get bullied, we would have to click the anti-bullying emoji to make the situation better.

  2. This brings up how if someone is a witness, they can help prevent the bullying rather than letting it happen.

  3. Online, there are people with the same name as me that make me appear manly or transgender.

  4. People will perceive me as someone who isn’t me such as the transgender man or the varsity football WR. If they are interviewing me, they will think I am someone completely different than who I am in person.

  5. The goal of internet trolls is to make other people suffer and see them get hurt.

  6. One positive thing about online anonymity is so that strangers can not know everything about you and be able to find you or bully you. One negative thing is that you could get bullied and the trolls could get to you.

1. We watched a video of a boy who was bullied.
2. This video makes me think about how many of us stand back when we see people being bullied.
3. Online you don't really find out much about me but what you find is not that bad.
4. I think that people will not really be able to find out much about me but what they do find will be good.
5. The goal of internet trolls are to hurt people online.
6. Positive affects are animinity about embarissing subjects. But the negatives are you can hurt people without really getting caught.

Who am I Online?

Posted by Sean Johnson in Technology - Freshman - Hull - b2 on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 12:49 pm

What video did you watch in class, what was the classroom activity today?
We watched a video about bullying and how we can stop it by speaking up and supporting the victim. The producer decided to use a smaller innocent looking boy to appeal to the audience and gave the veiwer a chance to help
(Links tan external siteWhat does this video bring to your mind in reference to the topic of bullying?
This brings up a time that bullying was more popular, seeing that I was bullied for a brief time period, but thanks to friends I got over it
Who are you online, how do you appear?
Online i am the type of person to take part in debate just to see how the world would treat the person
How do you think people perceive you, based on this appearance?
They probably see me as just another commentator with an opinion
What is the goal of internet trolls?
The goal of trolls are to get under your skin or teach a lesson by puting them in the situation that they did for another person ( example: you should watch Lt. Lickme )
What are the positive and negative results of online anonymity?
It makes you mysterious but more threatening causing more attention

Who am I online, Koffi

Posted by Afi Koffi in Technology - Freshman - Hull - b2 on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 12:45 pm

1) In class we watched a video on  the act and results of bullying. In the video a young boy is bullied and without interference of bystanders his day gets worse and worse. This video helps to depict the role that bystanders should have in helping someone who is getting bullied and how important it is.
2) I feel as though bullied is something that shouldn't happen and there are steps that can be taken to prevent it but the idea of completely getting rid of it isn't realistic.
3)I am always on line. I think that online I'm the same person I am in person but I can't really see myself in a third person perspective. I hope that the way I am preiceved online is positive.
4) When my name is searched on google a emo rock band comes up. I am in no way connected to that band so I honestly don't know what my impression would be.
5) The goal of internet trolling is to disrupt an ruin others' experience online.
6) The positive thing about anonymity is having the freedom to say or do what you want. Negative include, having no restrains for trolling because you think you can't be tracked even though you can.
