a. My family local area network is xfinity. All of my devices connect to this L.A.N.
b. I am really surprised that we don't connect to a wireless "cloud" meaning our networks travels in the air.
c. I would tell them that there is no such thing as an actual cloud because it's important to understand where everything starts from.

All the devices described on my internet connection are: my computer tablet phone and television, my mom's phone, her husband's phone, family television, all of our laptops, the wii that's wirelessly connected to my television, and the family ipad.
What I learned while learning about networks was how many places a network has to go through before it gets delivered to your device.
Something I would inform other people about their home networks is that nothing is private no matter how private you think it is and to be careful what you view because of exactly all the steps a network goes through before reaching your computer.

A)
Wireless Devices
-Most of the wireless devices are either iPhones or Laptops. Everyone in my family owns an iPhone and a computer (but the computer is mainly used just for work purposes). We also have printers hooked up to the internet as well as a xbox and a TV.
Wired Devices
-The wired devices that are connected to my network are, TVs and Desktop computers.
B)
I had no idea that my router connected to all of my electronic devices, even my wireless ones. It was interesting to learn about what kind of cable we had (coaxile), what it looked like, and what it connected to.
C)
I would tell them that they need to know what kind of cable they have. If they don't know, I would tell them to check and see because if they have a strong cable then they won't necessarily have any major issues with their home network.

There are my mom's her husband's and my own personal laptops also our phones are wirelessly connected, then there's our tv and the wii that connects to the network and our tv, then there's my tablet, then there's my personal tv that is connected wirelessly to the network. The "World Wide Web" is connected to my router which feeds it information so that our devices can get the information we are requesting.Something I was surprised to find out is how many steps occur before information is sent to my device I didn't know it was broken down and then inspected then it was a certain the document was put into order it was fascinating to know how things are transported on the world wide web.

As I started this assignment, I was a bit confused but after i went through everything, it became easier. My lucid chart showed that the majority of items were used through wifi, but some used wifi and/or the ethernet, such as the xbox and my personal computer. I thought it was really interesting how some electronics were able to access the internet by both a direct wire, and and wireless connections. What I learned is that it's important to know how your internet works so you don't get unnecessary items and end up getting ripped off.

a. Explain your L.A.N. Local Area Network - all the devices on your internet connection. On my families network, we have multiple devices since there is 9 of us. My oldest brother Chris no longer live with us being he's at college. Everyone except Chris, Chase, Liam, and my dad each have a kindle and a DS of any sort ( No one uses DS anymore they just sit in the attic). Which means there 6 DS and 6 kindles. Then my mom, dad, Brandon, and I each of phones ( 2 iPhones and 2 notes). We also have our Samsung tv to hook up our fire stick and nexus stick for entertainment purposes besides all of other smaller devices. ( I didn't have enough space to added all devices) b. Reflect on what you learned about networks, did you have an OMG moment that you learned something new and interesting? if not, write about what you learned. I learned that the internet is to complicated to completely map out correctly and it's not an easy job. I felt like whoever does stuff like this regular must work really hard because although it was kinda fun to put the lucidchart together all the steps before weren't very fun at all. c.What would you tell other people that they need to know about having an ISP/Home? I would tell them to be safe and be careful of what they do because whatever and whenever they do stuff on the internet it's like getting a tattoo meaning it's permitted and it's not forever attached. Also don't download Images, music, etc. without giving credit or given permission because there are consequences.
