My Slide, Sell
Laith on a slide
My slide is called Laith on a slide. It’s obviously about me. The lion in the background represents my name in arabic. Not only that it’s my favorite animal, and I love nature and animals. My font is play ball. The reason it is there is because when i was looking for fonts I saw this one and it reminded me of my favorite sport, Basketball. As you all know ball is life. I put the Michael Jordan there because he is my favorite basketball player, and he is the best Basketball player of all time. I hope one day I could be as good as him. The title colors are all of my favorite colors. These colors also represent the colors on the Palestinian flag. I combined all of my slide decorations and options with my personality and likes.
¡Viva México!
The picture I chose for my slide has a nice complex view of the mexican flag. I decided to make this slide simply because in case you didn’t know my family is from México and yes I’m mexican! In my me magazine that I created for english class I wrote about my family trip and their struggle to get to america. So with this background it shows how proud I have become of my race. The controller is their because I play videogames so I looked for a picture that was able to combine the mexican flag and a controller.Combining two things I love dearly.
Lily Palmer Slide
Me, Myself, and I
In this slide, I've included a visual image that appears to be writing the title of my slide. The image bleeds off the side of my slide. The colors in this slide are pretty simple. There are only three different colors included in my slide. They complement one another. The concept of this project is basically summed up in this one slide. By looking at this slide people can see that it is about “Me, Myself, and I” and by looking at the images at the bottom of the slide they can see the activities I enjoy doing.
My Slide
I created this slide by including two (or three, depending on how you look at it) pieces: my name, and a picture of a cello.
I chose my name because, what better way to describe me? (I am aware that most likely, everyone else did the same.) It, in a way, includes everything about me (to add to that, I’m almost positive that nobody else in this world has the exact same name I have).
I then had a hard time choosing between putting a picture of a cello, or something relating to school and academics, or yet another thing about my friends and family. These are examples of the things I care most about in my life. I finally chose cello because, in a way, it includes them all. Music has incorporated both of the things I previously mentioned. It is academic because of the great deal it has taught me; not just about myself, but about life and being a student and also being a teacher. And it is part of my family and social life because 1) music is something my whole family does and my parents have helped me a great deal with my music, and 2) music has a way of bringing together large groups of people that otherwise wouldn’t be together, and I’ve met some of my very best friends this way. Those are the reasons I chose to put what I put on my slide.
About the technical aspects of this slide:
I attempted to make it visual and eye catching by including the “Rule of Thirds” (or, at least, my understanding of it; the website provided did not thoroughly explain it).
I matched the color of the font with the border of the picture so there was consistency and connection between my pieces.
I included minimal information and kept it simple so as not to confuse the viewer (only three items) and I did not feel I had to fill every space with something.
I used large font so it was accessible to the viewer and he/she doesn't have to work to read the slide.
I made visual contrast by putting a picture in between the words.
