That's What Happens When You Name 'Em Draco
My grandparents came to see me today. This is a rare occurrence and not one that we all look forward to. However, my dad invited them over so they came and I trudged down the stairs to say hello and then I stayed down there and participated in conversation when etiquette deemed it necessary. I'm really not a bad person, I just don't exactly enjoy the company of my grandparents. I love my grandmom on my mom's side, I talk to her all of the time. But my grandparents on my dad's side aren't exactly a part of my life; they didn't come to my sweet sixteen, they didn't go to my dad's wedding and I almost never hear from them unless we go out of our way to see them. So, it's not really my fault that I have a certain... dislike towards them. Don't get me wrong, they're my family and I'll always treat them as such, but most people that are hardly close friends can be more like family. And of course, this was the first time I'd seen them since Thanksgiving and Draco comes out (if you don't remember Draco is my ferret) a little bit after they get there. Draco enjoys feet, I don't know why he just does, I love him for it. My grandfather takes his playfulness in stride, but my grandmother gets nipped on the foot and she starts telling my little love that she's going to beat him... And then he bites her hand. Normally I would scold Draco, and I did yell "Draco Malfoy," but I just couldn't put any heart into it. So, I start to snicker to myself with my face turned away... Yes, I took a little bit of vindictive pleasure out of my baby biting my grandmother. I'm going to hell, but at least I know I raised a good boy while I was here.

Best Ice Cream Ever!
This weekend I went to Cold Stones Creamery for the first time just to have a taste of their popular ice cream. When I stepped up to the counter I was able to see the dozens of different flavor ice cream they served :Cheesecake ice cream, chocolate, vanilla, cookie-dough, etc. I already knew what I wanted after looking at the posters plastered across the walls. I stepped up to the register and asked for the "Chocolate Devotion". The lady took 4 huge scoops of the chocolate ice cream and sat the ice cream on the a counter, not in a bowl or anything. I stared at it motionless asking myself if she accidentally dropped my order, or is this a procedure. She took a large spoon and smeared the smooth, thick ice cream across the counter, then she took a cup of chocolate chips and slowly poured the entire cup onto the ice cream. With two spoons she mixed the both the chocolate chips and ice cream, after 30 seconds or so, she took two large brownies and mixed them into the ice cream as well. After about 45 seconds of mixing, she placed my ice cream into a waffle bowl and topped the desert off with whipped cream and fudge. After paying the price of $7.00 for this "Chocolate Devotion", I thought in the back of my mind , "This better be the best ice cream I've ever tasted." After eating the first spoon full of "Chocolate Devotion", I thought "indeed it was".
This isn't an actual picture of my desert, but it's close enough. Just imagine whipped cream on the top.

Uncommon Romance Part 4
She finally told her parents the news. As she saw their expressions change from excitement to doubt, her carefully built confidence faded.
"Oy vey! Honestly, honey? We understand that you're in the city now and want to experience all that it has to offer, but neither of us are too comfortable with this idea. I'm sure you're not either.
"You need to give him a chance. Please. I don't want to live our life together without him ever meeting you. This is not some passing fling. It's real; realer than anything has ever been. It's already more serious than it ever was with David."
She closed her eyes, as that year came back to her in a wave of regret. She had married him, naively believing that love was about sacrificing ever last drop of yourself for someone else. Their marriage had lasted eight months, but hadn't been a happy one since the "I do's." She knew this one would be different, if only she could get her family's approval.

I live in box. I don't want anything that I don't need to survive. It will make too much of a mess. I'm tired of collecting things, everything is useless.
