Sleep overs

Posted by Narcissa Haskins in Storytelling - Chase on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 7:19 am

When I was at my church for the grand sleep over, it was the funniest thing in the world. Four of my little cousin are involved so when it came down to when a kid wouldn't share their toys or blanket some one was bound to say " Siiiiiiisssssssyyyyyy she wont share with me!". I It the most annoying thing that I could have ever witness, because it never ended through out the night. Then in my head, I'm just curious about what they expected me to do about it. The funniest  time was when my cousin was the first to fall asleep and she got whip cream all over her body. It was a pretty preachy night.

He kissed her once, He kissed her twice and said, "now that's addition"
She sweetly gave the kisses back and said, "now that's subtraction"

Love hug

Posted by Dylan Arroyo in Storytelling - Chase on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 11:14 pm

Today I got the best hug.
It lasted for at least 3 mins, I didn't want it to end.
I felt so loved.
It was great.

First College Visit

Posted by Davonte Martin in Storytelling - Chase on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 9:35 pm

Yesterday I visited Penn State for the first time, while on my tour in the freezing cold many students were walking by going to their classes, dorms, etc. Even though every student seemed as if they were in a rush to get to their destination, nearly every walking by would chant, "We Are!". And the other students walking by would randomly respond by saying, "Penn State".

I'm currently at Penn State University Park and I'm in love with every aspect of the campus. The learning, community, and nightlife are amazing !

This Was My Temporary Home

Posted by Jennifer Albright in Storytelling - Chase on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 8:34 pm

I held the girl in my arms feeling helpless as the tears poured down her face and sobs ripped through the otherwise silent room. No one was making her feel better by saying that death was better than laying in a hospital bed and suffering because she had expected him to come home at the end of the suffering. And so, speaking clearly at her ear that was covered in the hair I was trying to keep off of her hot, wet face I told her, "It's going to be okay... He's finally home. One day, that's where we'll all be; home, together the way we belong."

"You're mom is gonna have to work it out" -Dad

Posted by Dominque Miller in Storytelling - Chase on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 7:52 pm

My father is the funniest man I have probably ever met. So this past week I went to the dentist and found out that I need quite a bit of work done on my teeth. So I used my dad's insurance, which is the most basic thing you ever wanna get. They pay to get you're eyes checked but not to get glasses, they pay to get you're teeth checked but not to fix it. His insurance is basically saying, "You know now, so now you gotta figure out how to fix it." Anyway, I sent my dad an email asking him for the rest of the money, cause he doesn't pay for much us, and he said, "You're mom is gonna have to work it out." I really have the right mind to reply, " She been working it out for 18 years, so what's the difference of it now?"

Good day

Posted by Taylor Valentine in Storytelling - Chase on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 5:10 pm

Yesterday, I ate a salad on the bus that I bought at Traders Joe's while I was still in Philly.  It was delicious, except for the pistachios.  They were soggy, so I picked them out.

That was the worst part of my day.
