Reflection

Posted by Davonte Martin in Storytelling - Chase on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 3:26 am

So far I've created the four twitters I needed for my four characters in my story. The more I think about my story, the more I had to it's storyline which is bringing in more characters. Since I'm bringing in more characters, I may have to create at least 2 more twitter profiles. I've decided that I'm going to tweet what my characters are doing a day prior to when my actual story begins. So readers can have a little bit more knowledge about the characters. By 4/8 (the check-in) I plan to have told much of my story through twitter, the only details in my story that won't be in the tweets are what I'm currently still adding to the story.

I always had trouble in terms of organization, that’s why I decided to created a detail timeline of tasks. I will be using Facebook, and the Notes tool as a Diary for my character. I will start posting by 4/5 and my story will be ending 4/30.  I feel like I have a really good picture of what my face should look like by the end of April. I’m still trying to figure out how to let my audience know what’s going on without telling them too much information. So far, everything is working great with the exception that I will need to find pictures for my facebook page.

My Reflection

Posted by Mckelly Timothy in Storytelling - Chase on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 12:04 am

I am on top of everything so far for my benchmark. My timeline is complete, my twitter account is created and there are several posts up from my character. I have even found different ways to show my characters feelings and emotions and her individuality. I am only struggling with how to speed up the time it takes for me to tell my story, I think I may cut some of it out. I changed my initial plans on creating a facebook, for each character, I felt like the twitter would be easier for my character to tell her story. People on facebook have too many opportunities to ask too many questions, which would make my character seem too weird and secretive. My project is coming alone really well. I am going to continue working on my posts but hopefully by Monday I will get deeper into my story.

My Reflection

Well I'm going to be honest I am probably behind most for my benchmark. I have created my tumblr account but that is really about it. I plan to have things really moving no later then friday. I didn't write anything yet o  my blog. But sometimes I wonder is tumblr the right thing to use because at school I am not able to access it in school and with my story I need to post somethings during those times. I feel like after I really get things started I will feel really good about the project and it will be a really nice one. So I will continue to motivate myself so that I can receive a good grade for this project.

Benchmark Reflection

So far my project is going really great. I am still in the Pre-Story phase, but the main story is about to start on Thursday. Some problems that I have been running into is remembering to post frequently. A great amount of post and updates are a major part of who my character is and how I want to build her story but I often forget to post.  I do find myself though posting things I'm really thinking for her. I think it's good because it gives it a real life feel. I am really worried about starting the real story because I want to execute it right so that my story makes sense. Other than that everything is going well.

So, I have finally made my tumblr account and I am pretty excited about it. I'm still contemplating on how I should do the videos and how I should word the post. I want to make sure I don't use every single piece of my story in every post. My plan is to have enough diversity of thoughts and the true story combined in the many post. Other things like music and photos my character enjoys will be on the tumblr account. Im quite excited for the outcome of the finishing product.

Benchmark Reflection #1

I'm running behind on my timeline purely because I'm picky. I don't want to start this twitter page for this 6 year old an have her first post be at an unreasonable time. But over the past few days I haven't been available to make her first post at a reasonable time. I'm interested in the way that this profile will play out because I can't see people following this girl on twitter, but maybe that's me. It's probably gonna play out well regardless. I'm excited about using the twit pic app of twitter, and the trending topics to apply to my character's personality. This should be fun.

I'm a little behind of my timeline because I don't have a charger for my laptop to complete my tweets but did get a chance to create a Twitter account today. I tweeted my first tweet and I have a feeling that my story will be told through my character successfully through twitter. This week I plan on being more engage in finding pictures to support my story. Overall I'm doing alright in the benchmark process.

Reflection one

Alright, I just made my characters twitter account. This looks like it might actually be fun. Though, I have a feeling it can get real old, real quick. I set up a few tweets for tonight and tomorrow morning. I want to come up with some more... at least for all of tomorrow. That way, tomorrow, I can set up some stuff for all of Thursday and maybe Friday. By Friday I want to have all of the tweets set up through the next week. I figure if I'm a week ahead I won't miss any posts and it won't require attention from me daily.

I sort of don't know what to tweet about though, as his daily life. I'm sure questions he would have are different than the ones I think of for him. I have a decent idea of what I want to say for monday when he goes back to school, but I'll have him stay home until then. Today is only tuesday. What adventures can i send him on for the next few days? Hopefully something that will reveal how he got amnesia in the first place and something about his dad. Maybe I will have him visit the cemetery... hmm... something...

Benchmark Reflective Post

Since my character is away on vacation she has limited internet access. But she can get online at the town library, which she rarely likes to go to. I did make a tumblr account for her though, and throughout the story she will make a few post on it. But because of her limited web access she keeps a journal. I will keep record of that journal on word. Next, I will be deciding what type of friends she has on tumblr and what things she will post in her brief postings.
