25 word love story #2

Posted by Taylor Valentine in Storytelling - Chase on Friday, February 18, 2011 at 7:37 am

“Hello?”

“It’s great to hear your voice.  I’ve missed you.”

“I haven’t seen you since that September.”

“I know, but I’ve never stopped loving you.”

My dog

Posted by Perry Woods in Storytelling - Chase on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 9:00 pm

Sometimes I look at my dog and find him to be the most entertaining thing ever. His name is Ozzy David Bowie (my dad named him). He has been my little companion for over 8 years now and I still act as if he is a puppy. One of his eyes is blue the other brown. He is small, fluffy and a bit pudgy (after all he is a pekingese) When he sleeps he tends to stick his tongue out and he plays with toys much to big for him. Even when I walk him he tries to go after bigger dogs to show he is tough. Maybe to others these are common characteristics of their dogs. But with Ozzy something is just...special about him. Like his personality he has just makes him unique.

Another days story

Posted by James Seward in Storytelling - Chase on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 7:11 pm

Today was on/off day, if you know what i mean.  Early today i was with my record label.  Now as some may know and others may not, we are in a beef, battle with this other “record label”.Now we thought we had finally cornered these guys.  We found out that their leader was using lines that someone else wrote for him.  Now some people find that may be fine, but to me, who spends times actually thinking about what im gonna say, thats a disgrace.  So we take it to the people who are supposed to be judges, but they are among the people who say its ok to suck and have other people write for you. Im beginning to believe this is a very biased battle.  but thats fine cause when we win, it will undoubtedly prove were the better label. So after school i was chillin with my vice pres, slim, my lucky lefty Oscar and my bestie best best kamille and we were actin goofy as hell. that was awesome. afterschool i went to the grave of my departed best friend….i know its weird but it helps me calm down and…ya know….maybe ya dont….anyway, when i got home, they told me my cuz is in the hospital but gave no reason why…so now im worried…what a day….i was talking to my old friend Aaron and he told me to cheer up even though i was on the brink of having a fit….his words were “as long as i've known you {since kindergarten] youve been a monster. fighting, super energetic and husky as heck…a devil in premature form…and not once have you never cried. so why start now? right? ahahahaha devil may cry was based off of you so dont cry..devils never cry like the game says”…corny right? but its the best pick me up ive ever been given….lesson of the day, always count on your friends

Where is my favorite place to get lost?

Posted by Tajh Jenkins in Storytelling - Chase on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 9:08 am

My favorite place to get lost has to be at my neighborhood basketball court called Marshall States. Even though it’s just down the street from me I feel as though that the court happens to be my place of security. Playing basketball is one of my passions, but Marshall States offers me more than that. It’s where I go to think about my life and to just get away from everything going on around me. I have been going there ever since I was a little kid and I have grown to love the place.

When I need to release some stress or some energy I go to the park. I could stay there all day and not even realize that I have a home to go to. Marshall States has provided me with some of the most fun and relaxing days of my life. Fun times have happened because I’ve developed new friendships while sharing memories with old friendships. I’ve had relaxing times because I can go there to get away and think about my life while getting some shots up on a beautiful day.

I never had a place where I could go just to feel secure and feel like nothing bad was going to happen to me. Marshall States is the only place that made me feel that way. Whether it’s just playing basketball or having life changing experience there, it has always been a place that has been good to me. Fortunately I will always have special connection to Marshall States.

Going to that park is my place to get in my zone whether it’s mentally or physically. I go there to get lost and tune everybody else out when I need a break from life or when I need a good laugh with my friends. No matter how much I get older I will never forget my place of happiness and stability was. There will never be a better environment that I can say has made like I’m above and away from everyone else. Even when I’m older and I’m back in my neighborhood, I will always back to enjoy to the place where getting lost is a regular thing.

Incident Z Chapter2sec4 (for 2/16/11)

Posted by Anonymous in Storytelling - Chase on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 8:40 am

I quickly ran up in fear that something would happen to her. I had my gun at the ready and ran out into the bright light, it took about 5 seconds for my eyes to adjust but I could hear it right off the bat, we were surrounded.  I opened my eyes when I could and a zombie was directly in front of me, too close to shoot. I let out a gasp of horror but then I was relived as a club came out of nowhere striking the zombie in the head and away from me.  I was relived but I did not let my guard down, we still had a lot of zombies around us. Nicole and I were surrounded by at least 20 zombies,  there were already a lot on the ground from when Nicole ran up without me. I raised my pistol up and started firing, I did not count the shots this time, I just shot until my clip was empty and the slid on the top of the gun locked back.  I loaded the other clip fast, now only one clip left with 15 shots in the gun. I looked around and there were not many zombies left. Nicole was going around pushing the rest off the roof with her club.  “look over here” Nicole said and I quickly came over. I was feeling relived and nervous at the same time. i was just glad that Nicole made it out of that alive “this is where they were coming up.” I looked at what she was pointing at, and there was a ramp like thing and a few things they probably could craw up on. We both started knocking all ways off and on the roof off. Now the zombies would not be able to get up. “just?” I turned to face Nicole “promise me something”

            “yeah?”

“be strong, and if I ever get bite, can you be the one to shoot me?”

“im not going to want to….but if I have to….yeah I guess”

“good” she pulled up her sleeve reveling a bite mark not so far away from her wrist, I just now noticed the blood on her hoody. She wore red so i did not notice this before. my heart skipped a beat, I almost fell down. I had trouble standing. Sweat came out of nowhere and I had tears in my eye

            “no I can’t”

            “you promised”

“…but..oh come on this aint fair” tears were in my eyes now and I was borderline crying. I could not help but feel cheated. My hands were lose around the grips of my gun, my hands were sweaty now. I gripped the gun with a firmer grip.

            “do it!”

            “what do I tell Chris?”

            “the truth now go ahead”

“..but…i..” I felt my hand on the grip, my heart was beating faster then ever. “ I love you” and that time I meant it. She smiled and nodded

“I love you too…now kill me”

I  did love her, but that didn’t’ matter, not anymore.. I raised my fathers gun paused for a second that seemed like an hour, then I pulled the trigger. She dropped to the ground, a hole in her head. My hand was shaking and my stomach hurt now. I threw up.The sight of her brains on the floor made me sick and the look in her eyes.  I could barley stand it. I put the gun to my head and pulled the trigger
