This week, I interviewed a Spanish native, Maria. Since I've been doing Spanish, I've had trouble memorizing and repeating verb ending. I was told to immerse myself in the language and it might be easier to retain. The audio has the conversation. 

My conversations continued on the topic of the films of Spain. I received a new partner, because when I tried to get in touch with my previous partner, I was thoroughly ignored.

Here, you can see that not only do we keep the conversation in Spanish the entire time, but I also try to delve into my topic, which was the film culture. My partner, who's a college student in Spain, told me that he and his friends try to go to movie theaters as often as possible, as they use films and the culture as a momentary escape from reality.

I was highly intrigued by his statement, and I thought it was a highly interesting analysis.

I talked to DeShawn M. about what she thinks of learning Spanish. She told me that when she was in middle school she tried to learn Spanish, but no one thought her right. This made her not want to learn Spanish at all. That is what we manly talked about.

i spoke with Sayfddin from tanger who i meant on share talk. he was 26 and claimed to be a rapper. the conversation was very nice and i feel like i accomplished my goal of holding a conversation past hola como estas.

This week I talked with a guy from Spain. He was explaining to me the education system in his country and some general things about this subject.

 I talked to a really funny guy named Siuldeluxe. He knew a great pick up line, and a pretty mean baby joke. But, nonetheless, it was pretty funny. I don't really know where he's from, but he speaks English pretty well. The more I talk to people about joking in Spanish, the more I realize how different it is. Even when I ask about jokes, I usually get what do you mean jokes. I guess sometimes it is a direct translation to an English joke, but sometimes it involved sarcasm which I will talk about in another blog post. By the way, pay no attention to how my name is Manna, I was banned for unknown reason from that site, so I had to use another person's account. I'm really considering using that google pick up line though.

After learning the correct order of a sentence I practiced those skills by maintaing a conversation. This helped me know what and what not to say. It also helped me a lot where I knew how to keep a conversation going correctly.

    For my second week, the question that I am looking to answer is basic shortcuts to knowing when to use past and future tense. Some difficulties arose, as I was unable to find anyone on livemocha that would aid me, or even respond to me after I asked for help. The people who messaged me asking me for help suddenly stopped responding once I asked for help in return. Hrump. For this week, I instead chose a friend who is a native speaker as the alternative. It was difficult to find a time that would work for both of us, so we decided that texting would be the best alternative.

How do you anticipate your partner will respond to these questions?
    They may not be able to understand them too well, as writing the language is not something     they're beyond proficient in.

What are you looking forward to about this conversation?
    Being able to talk to a close friend of mine in Español. (Not something I do often.)

What are you nervous about?
    I'm a bit concerned about my friend's written spanish, as he's much better at speaking it than     writing. It shouldn't be much of an issue though, as I should be able to understand it.
