This project was fun, we got to work on a song to together and got to sing a song that mean something to us. We both were happy because we got to sing a song that we can relate to. We were able to express our life from back home in many ways in the song. This song is mainly about us coming to the U.S.A and how our life was different when we were in Africa. We really enjoin doing this project.

2. This project was probably my most "active" project ever. We had to make a song about where we were from, and the good thing was, you could have interpreted it however you wanted, whether it be intellectually or physically. For a little extra umph in your project, you could make a video to incorporate with your song. In this project I actually learned how to become a better photographer and what to look for when trying to make a montage of one specific idea. I also learned that I am a lot better at spanish than they were last year. I am really proud of how well I was able to speak in spanish and flow, as well as the fast tempo I used in the song. That is not edited, that is actually me rapping in spanish! If I could change this project, I would want to get some footage of me and my bro Mat in, but the video of Philadelphia is on of the main highlights of my spanish video. I think it goes really well with the music and what the music represents.

This project was very fun. I was able to write a song that is a short reflection of my life. I was able to explore different ways to express my life in Spanish. I learned a few new words and I also learned how to work with some new programs. I learned a lot about other people as well from reviewing their work.  I'm proud of my song because I'm not a singer and it took a lot of courage for me to preform this. I think I would change my lyrics if I were to do this project over again.

My project was the simple song and it explained how I feel about my birth place, New York, and how I consider that my true home. I can't wait to go back and I sung about all the reasons why I want to go back. 


I learned that I'm still no good with singing in spanish and with using garage band. It's also very difficult to rhyme and sing in a different language.

I'm really proud of my overall message and I that I actually completed it because I struggled with this assignment. It didn't turn out tooo bad..

I'd use simpler words that are easier to pronounce and I would pick a beat first because it's harder to find a beat after you have written the song.

  • The project tells of my love of the Philadelphia Zoo, the place that feels like home to me. It also tells of my "extended family", the inhabitants of the zoo.
  • I learned that writing a song is indeed fun, but also challenging. When it must be writing in a foreign language, the difficulty increases.
  • I am especially proud of the vocabulary that I used in the song. I felt as though it was somewhat creative.
  • If I could redo the project, I would have spent more time at home working on it. This is because I feel that although we had plenty of class time to work on the song, the more time, the better.

This song is telling about how much I love my family. I came from them, they made me who I am. I really liked my chrorus it sums up all of my feelings. The song explains how I feel about how I grew up and where. If I could, I would change around some words in my verses.

​From this project I didn't learn much. It was more of a refresh of Spanish 2 for me, because now I remember a large chunk of what I was taught in Spanish 2. 

I like the whole thing. It was a pretty fun project to do. I'm proud with my overall product, and that I had enough time to put into a video.

If I were to do it again, I'd redo my lyrics into something that flows a bit better.

This project was about where we are from and how that effects who we are today. We learned about ourselves as people and how our cultural backgrounds overlap living in Roxborough. We also learned how different we are from each other because we are from other halves of the world. We are proud of how fast we were able to pull the song together. We both had major time issues with work both in and out of school but in the end we were able to finish the project. If we could redo this project we would both like to spend more time on the recording of the project.

Well I am very into poetry, so I made my project very slow and something you can relax to (what my poetry is like) in order to maybe grasp how the video would connect to it. I learned a lot of pacing of music and how you don't actually have to sing for something to be a song. It really refreshed some of my memory to past spanish that I learned but haven't seen in a while. I am proud of how it flows together very softly and nicely. I don't think it's easy to hear me, but if I made it any louder it would have just sounded over bearing and not as I wish it could.
